Redaction
Suppression of confidential strings (PII, customer names, IP) in data-room documents.
Manual redaction is slow and error-prone; keyword redaction misses context (the same string can be sensitive in one document and benign in another). Modern AI redaction is semantic — it understands when a name is a customer reference vs. a public testimonial and acts accordingly. The diligence question is auditability: every redaction must be reviewable and reversible by an authorised user.
