Clean Team
Bidder representatives — usually outside advisors — permitted to view competitively sensitive information under restrictions.
Where a transaction is between competitors, customer pricing, win/loss data, and roadmap detail cannot be shared with the bidder's commercial team pre-close. A clean team — typically advisors, occasionally cleared internal staff — receives the data under a clean-team agreement that prohibits onward sharing. Clean-team output is usually aggregated or anonymised before reaching the bidder.
